As we close another impactful Down Syndrome Awareness Month, we’re filled with gratitude for everyone who made this celebration memorable. Throughout the month, our community came together to share, learn, and celebrate the uniqueness and beauty of each person in the Down Syndrome community.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to the parents, caregivers, friends, and advocates who joined us in this journey. Your love, dedication, and advocacy continue to inspire and empower us all. Together, we celebrated milestones, shared stories, and uplifted one another, showing the strength and unity that make our community remarkable.
We also want to extend a special thank you to our sponsors: TAWINGO Fund, DFCU Bank, AC Events, Talk Gadgets Hoima, Iziba Lodge, M3 UK, Centenary Bank, and Oryx Gas. Your generosity has been instrumental in making this event possible, and your support has brought joy and lasting impact to countless families. Each of you played an invaluable role in creating an event that was not only impactful but also truly meaningful.
Adding to the joy of our celebration was the presence of the City Mayor, who joined us to show support and help raise awareness within our broader community. Having such a valued community leader among us reminded us all of the power of unity and advocacy, reinforcing the importance of building inclusive communities.
Last month, October 26th we celebrated the progress we’ve made, but we also look forward to the journey ahead. With continued love, awareness, and support, we believe we’re creating a world where every individual with Down Syndrome has the opportunity to thrive and be celebrated. To all who joined us in this journey—thank you. Together, we are making a difference, and we can’t wait to see the incredible strides we’ll continue to make as a community.
